Round 7 Program Notes

19 May 2018 by James King

It was absolutly fantastic to have such a great roll up of Two Blue supporters for Rodney King’s 200th game last week! Perfect weather was on display and Rodney set the scene with the opening goal and an assist shortly after it to put together a magnificent first half of footy! Rodney’s day was cut short in the third term as he unfortunately went off injuring his troublesome knee. Fingers crossed we will have him back out on the park in no time. As well as the magnificent milestone taking place Emmo was busy cooking chicken wings and smoked pork, with the tasty smell keeping patrons hanging around for a taste! The Luke Waylon Band were absolutely sensational, no doubt they will return in the near future with all attending having a blast!

Today we have four tough games on hand against the in form Wynyard Cats. Their Senior men are coming off a big win over flag favorites Ulverstone and this will be a very tough assignment for our young team as they look to get back on the winners list again.

Club membership packages are available for purchase. It’s never too late to join up, simply head to the bar to purchase yours.

New club beanies ($25) and scarves ($30) have touched down as well as travel shorts ($35), these are available for purchase from the bar also!

Tonight from 7PM, ‘Get Shirty’ returns! Buy a beer or Cruiser shirt for only $60! These are always fun nights and this promises to deliver yet again! How many shirts will you buy?

Next weekend the Two Blues Ball returns! Tickets are $20 per head or $30 per couple! The last couple of years this has been well attended and we hope this year is the same! See Nicole for tickets!

Don’t forget we have Thursday night teas in the clubrooms every week! The ladies have been on fire in the kitchen so far and at $10 a head, which includes a soft drink, you won’t get a better feed on the North West coast! The bar is open from 6PM Thursday nights with tea served at 7:30PM.

All the best to all teams today!

GO TWO BLUES!
