Finals Round 2 Program Notes

27 Aug 2016 by James King

Today our Reserve and Senior teams head over to Latrobe to tackle the Demons in both games. Today will certainly be a big day for both teams as a win will send each team through to the Grand Final. The Reserves will be fresh from a week off and the Seniors will be looking to continue their winning form in what will certainly be their biggest game for the year this far as we know the Demons are a classy and very dominant outfit. Todd Munro has been in stellar form as has constant weekly performers such as Brodie Knight, Zachary Mihocek, Jacob Brown and Chris Mcdonald who today will be looking to continue that game winning form. James King was a stand out performer in the Reserves last roster game against the Robins and will no doubt be considered for Senior selection for today’s game too.

The Reserves proved that this year they are certainly looking for a ticket into the Grand Final after finishing on top of the ladder, which is a credit to Rollsy and his troops who at times during the year have been short on numbers. It has been a long time coming since the Two Blues finished on top of any ladder which is a fantastic effort!

This evening following the games everyone is more then welcome to drop by the VIE Financial clubrooms for a chat and a refreshment with the players and coaches.

Some upcoming PFC functions for anyone interested to pop into your diary over the coming month or so is the clubs Best and Fairest Vote Count that will be held in the VIE Financial clubrooms on September the 17th and the Annual Dinner to also be held in the VIE Financial clubrooms on the 15th of October. More details to come.

We would again like to thank our die hard supporters, members and sponsors that, week in, week out, have turned up to our games to cheer the boys on. As well as all of our fabulous volunteers, whether its the canteen ladies or the bar staff, you all know who you are and we certainly appreciate it.

A massive Goodluck to our teams today.

GO TWO BLUES!
